Guidelines for Cardinal Flight Approved Events

  • Purposeful Attendance: Events must align with at least one NACE-inspired career readiness competency.
  • Promotional Standards: Marketing materials must prominently feature the Cardinal Flight Approved digital stamp.
  • Engagement Promotion: Event organizers must advertise their events on EngageUofL or an approved alternative platform of their preference.
  • External Platform Protocol: If using a platform other than EngageUofL, please send marketing materials featuring the Cardinal Flight Approved stamp to cardinalflight@louisville.edu at least three business days prior to the event for promotional purposes.
  • Attendance Tracking: Attendance must be tracked by event organizers.
    • Option 1: Utilize EngageUofL’s automatic attendance tracking system by downloading the event’s URL or QR code from the platform to share with attendees. Note: Please note that EngageUofL’s attendance tracking, and RSVP features are exclusively available to University of Louisville students, faculty, and staff. External guests who are not affiliated with the university must use an alternative method for tracking attendance
    • Option 2: Utilize your preferred method for tracking attendance. Gather participants’ full names and University of Louisville school email addresses. Submit the attendance list to cardinalflight@louisville.edu within two business days following the event.
  • Inclusion Mandate: All events must adhere to the Inclusion Statement, welcoming eligible faculty, staff, and students irrespective of race, color, national origin, sex, disability, or age.
  • Digital Stamp Inclusion: Incorporate the Cardinal Flight Approved digital stamp on all promotional materials.

For access to the digital stamp, reach out to the Cardinal Flight team, or if affiliated with COB faculty/staff, download from the Marq template platform, if access is granted.

College of Business Faculty/Staff

When setting up your event on EngageUofL, ensure that students receive credit for attendance by following these steps:

  1. Select “Cardinal Flight” as one of the co-hosting organizations
  2. Under the event categories section, choose “Cardinal Flight: College of Business Department Sponsored” to ensure students receive event attendance credit

College of Business Registered Student Organizations (RSOs)

All College of Business registered student organizations (RSOs) are encouraged to utilize EngageUofL for event and meeting postings, as well as officer information updates on their organization’s page.

When creating events on EngageUofL, ensure that students receive credit for attendance by following these steps:

  1. Select “Cardinal Flight” as one of the co-hosting organizations.
  2. Under the event categories section, choose “Cardinal Flight: College of Business RSO Sponsored” to ensure students receive event attendance credit.
