Your success is important to us. Academic Advisors and Student Success Coordinators are here to help you throughout your college career to plan your path to graduation, navigate campus life, and develop skills to help you thrive.
Academic Advisors:
- Provide assistance with the appropriate course selection
- Interpret policies and procedures
- Monitor your academic performance and progress toward degree completion
- Conduct a degree check to verify that all program requirements have been completed
- Make referrals to appropriate University resources including student success coordinators, tutoring, counseling, financial aid and career services
- Serve as liaison to departments within the College of Business
Student Success Coordinators:
- Assist with goal setting and strengths exploration
- Assist with developing time management and organizational skills
- Assist with developing learning strategies and study skills
- Provide information about campus and personal resources
- Conduct outreach related to progress reports and alerts
- Provide resources for stress management, wellness, and self-care
- Make referrals to appropriate University resources, including advising, tutoring, counseling, financial aid, and career services

- First-semester freshman upon admission into the College of Business (this will occur during Freshman Orientation)
- Transfer student (once admitted into the College of Business)
- Students returning to the College of Business with a break in enrollment of two or more consecutive years
- Student on academic warning or probation
- Recently admitted change of major students to the College must schedule an advising appointment by calling (502) 852-7439.
