Bio
Stuart C. Kirk is the retired vice president of business and institutional
development for the Laureate Higher Education Group’s U.S. campus-based
operations. Formerly, he was the president of the College of Santa Fe. He has a 30-
year distinguished career in the international energy business. Kirk is the founding
partner and managing director of Worldwide Power Group, Ltd. He previously
was managing director of The Wing Group, an international power development
company. Kirk also held executive positions with ARCO, including having primary
responsibility for negotiating the development of ARCO’s North Slope natural
gas reserves. He also was an associate professor of economics and directed
the advanced economics department at the U.S. Air Force Academy. He has an
undergraduate degree from the University of Northern Colorado, and masters and
doctorate degrees from the Claremont Graduate School.
