Kenneth C. Gardner is founder and executive chairman of conDati, Inc., a
company using data science and machine learning to build next-generation
marketing analytics. He has more than 40 years in the enterprise software industry.
Gardner is a seven-time entrepreneur — previously been the founder and Chairman
of SOASTA; founder and chief executive officer of Istante; Sagent Technology;
ReportSmith; and ViewPoint Systems. His first startup, in 1985, was Tesseract
Corporation, where he was senior vice president of technology. From 1978 to 1985,
Gardner worked in R&D at Tymshare. He holds more than 20 granted patents in the
fields of real-time analytics and visualization. Gardner is a 1972 finance graduate of
our college. He was selected as our Alumni Fellow in 2000 and was elected to the
COB Entrepreneurship Hall of Fame in 2013. He lives in Menlo Park, California.
