
Julie (Ying) Huang, PhD

Julie Ying Huang, PhD, is an accomplished accounting faculty member at the University of Louisville’s College of Business. She received her bachelor’s degree in accounting from National Taiwan University, followed by a master’s degree in accounting and a PhD in accounting from the University of Texas at Austin.
Dr. Huang’s research focuses on corporate governance, financial reporting quality, and international accounting issues. Her work has been published in top-tier accounting journals, including The Accounting Review and Contemporary Accounting Research. In addition to her research, Dr. Huang is a dedicated teacher and mentor to students. She has taught various courses in financial accounting, international accounting, and accounting theory at undergraduate and graduate levels.
Dr. Huang is also an active member of the accounting community, serving as an ad-hoc reviewer for several leading accounting journals and presenting her research at various conferences. She is a member of the American Accounting Association and the Chinese Accounting Professors Association.
Dr. Huang’s expertise, dedication, and passion for accounting make her an invaluable member of the University of Louisville’s accounting faculty.
