Bio

Julie Ying Huang, PhD, is an accomplished accounting faculty member at the University of Louisville’s College of Business. She received her bachelor’s degree followed by a master’s degree in accounting and a PhD in accounting from the University of Kansas. Dr. Huang’s research focuses on financial reporting quality, voluntary disclosures, and auditing. Her work has been published in top-tier accounting journals such as the Journal of Accounting and Economics. In addition to her research, Dr. Huang is a dedicated teacher and mentor to students. She has taught various courses in financial accounting and managerial accounting at undergraduate and graduate levels.

Dr. Huang is also an active member of the accounting community, serving as an ad-hoc reviewer for several leading accounting journals and presenting her research at various conferences. She is a member of the American Accounting Association and the Chinese Accounting Professors Association. Dr. Huang’s expertise, dedication, and passion for accounting make her an invaluable member of the University of Louisville’s accounting faculty.
