Bio
James E. Boone is managing director of James E Boone & Associates, LLC; an
advisory firm focused on corporate boards and Chief Executive Officers confronting
talent, growth, and turnaround strategies. Previously he was a divisional CEO and
advisor to the founding family CEO of Volt Information sciences, Inc. Boone was
a managing partner of NGS Global, LLC, and chairman of the global operating
committee and president, Americas, for Korn/Ferry International. He led the
southeast technology executive search team for Heidrick & Struggles and was
chairman of its worldwide marketing committee. Boone also has held executive
positions with Impellam Group NA, Digital Equipment Corporation, Honeywell,
Inc., and Humana Inc. He has served on numerous boards, and is currently on the
board of the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) Atlanta Chapter.
He served in the U.S. Navy and received an undergraduate degree in commerce and
marketing from our college in 1976, where he was elected to Phi Kappa Phi honor
society.
