Bio

Heather Metts has been in her current role for five years where she is responsible for LG&E and KU’s financial planning and modeling, as well as budgeting and forecasting.  She has also held various positions in the finance, budgeting and accounting areas over her 16 years of service with the company.

Heather attended the University of Louisville, graduating with honors in business administration.  After graduation, she worked in public accounting at Cotton and Allen, PSC focusing on manufacturing clients for seven years.  She then accepted the position of Controller at Scheu & Kniss, a small manufacturing company, for seven years.  Her responsibilities there included accounting, financial reporting, budgeting and purchasing.

Heather currently serves as the board chair for CASA of the River Region, after previously serving as the Treasurer for several years.  She is a certified public accountant, a member of the Kentucky Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. She also is a Leadership Louisville Class of ‘20 graduate – the best and longest class ever.
