Dear Friends of the College of Business,

Yesterday’s AI Forum, hosted in partnership with Slingshot, marked a pivotal moment for the College of Business. We welcomed students, faculty, alumni and community members—both in person and virtually—for a dynamic, hands-on look at what artificial intelligence means for the future of business.

The session moved beyond theory and into action. Slingshot’s walkthrough of CivicPulse, a civic tech prototype built in just one day using AI, illustrated how this technology is already reshaping how organizations approach product development, design and decision-making. Attendees heard firsthand from Slingshot on how AI tools are accelerating their work in civic engagement. The event wasn’t just about tools—it was about transformation.

The message was clear: AI is no longer just a tech conversation. It is a business imperative.

At the College of Business, we recognize that our responsibility goes beyond teaching the tools of today. We are preparing our students to lead in a world that is rapidly changing—where roles are shifting, timelines are compressed and new sources of value are emerging at every turn. That means embedding emerging technologies like AI into our curriculum, our research and the way we think about problem-solving across every business discipline.

I want to thank everyone who joined us for this conversation, and I look forward to many more like it. Together, we are not just watching the future unfold—we are helping to shape it.

Go Cards!
