Hospitality Minor Event

New Hospitality Minor Accommodates Service-Minded Students

Several Louisville hospitality industry leaders were in attendance for the official launch of the newest College of Business minor in hospitality. Created through a generous $500,000 gift by the Louisville Hotel Partnership (LHP) consortium, the hospitality program will provide educational and professional opportunities for UofL graduates to feel at home while working in an industry that is impacted by and connected to tourism – Louisville’s fastest-growing industry.

Guest speakers for the event included Cleo Battle, CEO and President of Louisville Tourism; Eamon O’ Brien, LHP/Omni Louisville General Manager; David Green, President of the Louisville Hotel Association; Camilla Schroeder, Board Chair for the College of Business and Dean Schlader, Vice President of Business Outreach & Development for Greater Louisville, Inc.

Department Chair for Management & Entrepreneurship Ryan Quinn also spoke about the coursework and internship options that will be available for students like revenue management, hospitality operations, and sales and social media for hospitality organizations, just to name a few.
