Frequently Asked Questions
How do I try out the app if I have not been invited to join the community?
After starting the app and logging in for the first time, you will see a screen that asks you to enter a code. Do not enter a code. Instead, at the bottom of the screen, you will find a button that gives you the option to create a community. If you just want to try out the app, choose to create a community because you can always create a community of one—yourself. Then click the arrow pointing to the right at the bottom of the page. This will walk you through the steps of naming your community (on page 2 of the start-up process), choosing the virtues that your community (of one) will practice (page 3), and launching the community (page 4; if you are the only member of your community, ignore the instructions about inviting others and simply click “start my community”). When you name your community, any non-offensive name is fine. You can change the name or create new communities later.
How do I get an invitation code?
To use the Leadership Amplifier app, you need to belong to a community of people who are working together to improve their leadership. If you wish to join an existing community, you need to contact the community administrator and ask them for a code to join that administrator’s community. The administrator may be the corporate trainer, university professor, or anyone else who may have organized your community on the app. When you first log in to Leadership Workout, the app asks you for a code, and you type in the code you received from the community administrator. Alternatively, you could create your own community, which would make you the administrator. If you do this, you will be able to invite others to join.
How do I get approved as a member of a community?
After you type in the code for the community, you will become a pending member, awaiting approval from the community administrator, who may be the corporate trainer, university professor, or anyone else who may have organized your community on the app. If they do not approve you soon after you submit the code in the app, simply contact them and remind them to please approve you as a member.
