Bio
Martin N. McClelland is president of Regent Investment Management. Formerly,
he was managing director and portfolio manager with New Albany, Indiana based
Mainstream Investment Advisers, LLC. Mainstream manages hedge funds and
separate accounts for individuals and institutions. Upon arriving in Louisville in
1991, McClelland founded MFG Solutions, a software company, and in 1994 founded
Alta Capital, which merged with Regent Group in 1997. Regent Group merged with
Mainstream in 2006. He spent three years with GE in Silicon Valley in software
development, manufacturing engineering, and marketing. McClelland is a director
of Network Advocates and a founding member of our Entrepreneurship Council.
He earned his undergraduate degree in engineering from Purdue University and an
MBA from Harvard.
