David M. Krebs is the retired President and Chief Operating Officer of Humana – Puerto Rico. He is a graduate of the University of Louisville with a Bachelor of Science in Commerce, Accounting and Finance, and is a certified public accountant. After graduation David worked ten years in public accounting with Coopers & Lybrand (now PricewaterhouseCoopers – PwC). David then joined Humana, holding various financial leadership positions including Vice President Finance and Controller, and Chief Financial Officer for E-Business. He was also one of the initial team of executives tasked to transform Humana from a hospital company to the managed health care company that it is today. Ultimately David was appointed to lead Humana’s $1 billion health plan in Puerto Rico. After eight years living and working in Puerto Rico, David and Carol returned to Louisville and retired from Humana. At this time David not only serves on the University of Louisville College of Business Advisory Board, but also the Boards of the University of Louisville Foundation and Actors Theatre.
