Amy Henley, Dean

I’m a passionate believer in the power of education to transform lives—and I’ve built my career around creating opportunities for students, faculty, and communities to thrive.

Currently, I have the honor of serving as Dean of the University of Louisville College of Business. I bring with me more than 20 years of experience in higher education leadership, most recently as dean of the Nistler College of Business & Public Administration at the University of North Dakota. My background spans academic administration, program development, alumni engagement, and strengthening connections between universities and the business community.

My approach is collaborative, student-centered, and deeply rooted in values—shaped in part by growing up in a family that loved football and believed fiercely in the promise of higher education. I’m especially proud of the work I’ve done to support student-athletes, champion experiential learning, and foster inclusive, high-performing academic communities.

Whether in the classroom or the boardroom, I believe in leading with integrity, listening first, and building strong partnerships that move institutions forward. And yes, I’ll always cheer a little louder if there’s a football game involved.
