Admitted Online MSBA (OMSBA) Students
Welcome Message from Interim Dean Jeff Guan
Welcome from Online MSBA Program Director Sandeep Goyal, PhD
My name is Dr. Sandeep Goyal, and I am honored to be the Director for the Online MSBA program at the University of Louisville. I’m excited to meet you and learn more about the path that led you to our program.
Pathways to most worthwhile professions often seem to include unexpected detours and unforeseen obstacles that can delay or even prevent some from reaching their ideal destination. Education, particularly an MSBA degree from UofL, equips you with the skills and resources to navigate uncertainties along the pathway that lies ahead of you. This is a critical moment in your path, a turning point that will forever impact your professional journey.
Appreciate the significance of this moment, but be prepared to work diligently to achieve the goals you wish to accomplish. The coming months that await you will be difficult, but this pathway and the work needed to traverse it is worthwhile. You also don’t have to travel alone; a tremendous benefit of our MSBA is the diverse community and network you will build as you progress through the program.
Online Student Support
The dynamic student support team in the Online Programs Office is students’ direct connection to assistance on all aspects of their graduate experience.
Sophonie Bazile and Trisha Townsend are the Coordinators of Online Student Support and Community, and they are here to support students when external factors begin to impede their academic performance, such as helping them implement time management strategies when their work schedule becomes hectic or helping them acclimate to an online learning environment. They can also inform and connect students to campus-wide and College of Business resources, student organizations, alumni opportunities, and more. Additionally, students will hear from Sophonie and Trisha when there are important programmatic updates to be announced, when it is time to elect the cohort president and vice president, and about virtual and in-person events across campus, among other updates.
Reach out to Sophonie at 502.852.4820 or sophonie.bazile@louisville.edu, or connect with Trisha at 502.852.9232 or trisha.townsend@louisville.edu with any questions.
Email Online Student ServicesCommunications
Throughout their time in the OMSBA program, students will receive communications from various units within the College of Business. To prevent these communications from being inadvertently sent to the spam folder, it is recommended that students add the following email addresses to their Outlook address book:
- bizonline@louisville.edu (College of Business Online Programs Office)
- cobnroll@louisville.edu (College of Business Graduate Enrollment)
- gradbiz@louisville.edu (College of Business Graduate Programs Student Services)
