A New Academic Year, Endless Opportunity
August 31, 2026
Dear College of Business Community,
Fall is always one of my favorite times on campus. The quiet halls of summer quickly give
way to energy, anticipation and the undeniable sense of a fresh start.
Over the last few weeks, I have had the privilege of celebrating the achievements of our
summer graduates across our MBA, MSAA and MSBA graduate programs while also hosting our
Executive Education franchise residency. Seeing our students reach those milestones is a
powerful reminder of why we do this work. Now, as we welcome our newest Cardinals—from
our incoming undergraduates to our newest graduate cohorts—that cycle of growth begins
again.
Reflecting on my first full year as dean, I am deeply proud of what our faculty, staff and
community partners have accomplished together. We strengthened our ties with the local
business community, expanded our alumni outreach, advanced key accreditation efforts and
made significant progress on new programs in supply chain management, AI in business, human
resources, hospitality and real estate.
Building on that momentum, my theme for the College of Business this year is opportunity.
Opportunity is about creating clear pathways for our students, fostering high-impact research
for our faculty and deepening our integration with the regional business ecosystem. Whether
we are launching new academic programs, expanding corporate partnerships or simply
connecting at an ice cream social, every interaction this semester is a chance to build something
meaningful.
To our returning students, faculty and staff, welcome back. To our new students, welcome to
the Cardinal family. Let's make this year extraordinary.
Warmly,
Amy Henley
