College of Business Ambassadors

The CAPS ambassadors are a motivated group of business undergraduate students representing the College of Business and supporting prospective and current students.

To be selected as a CAPS ambassador is an honor and an excellent opportunity for personal and professional growth. CAPS ambassadors possess strong interpersonal skills, leadership qualities and a sense of pride in the college and the University of Louisville.

Duties and Responsibilities

Front Desk & Guest Support

  • Work weekly at the front desk as a main point of contact
  • Welcome visitors and help answer questions
  • Help students and guests find the right offices and resources
  • Create a friendly and welcoming environment 

Recruitment, Events & Campus Engagement

  • Represent the college at events like college fairs, open houses, and campus visits
  • Give campus tours and help with special events
  • Connect with prospective students, families, alumni, and guests
  • Share information about the college and student experience
  • Support orientation, academic planning, and student success workshops
  • Plan and lead events that bring students together and build school pride 

Peer Mentoring & Student Engagement

  • Promote the College of Business Cardinal Flight digital badging program
  • Build connections with prospective and current students
  • Serve as a mentor to assigned students
  • Check in with students and provide support throughout the semester
  • Work with staff on special projects and initiatives 

Social Media Ambassador Team (select ambassadors only)

  • Help brainstorm content for Instagram and TikTok
  • Create and edit at least one video each week
  • Attend events to capture fun and engaging content
  • Work with the social media team and marketing staff

Work Hours & Requirements

Work Hours:

  • Typically 5–10 hours per week, including 2–3 hours of required office hours and team activities (hours may vary based on program needs) 

Requirements:

  • Must be a declared College of Business undergraduate major
  • Must have and maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8
