Report to the College of Business

  • Academic policies (bankruptcy, repeating courses, etc.)
  • Career planning guidance and referrals
  • Advising holds on accounts
  • Changing majors or adding minors (form available on ULink)
  • Course planning and course sequencing
  • Selecting the right course loads
  • Tracking progress toward graduation
  • Holistic student support and retention (progress reports, academic suspensions, warnings, probation)
  • Holds on student accounts (other than advising holds)
  • Non-academic challenges (financial, personal, well-being, engagement)
  • Connecting with other students and/or student organizations
  • Providing support or guidance when unsure where to start
  • Transitioning to college
  • Withdrawing from courses

Advising is required if you are:

  • A first-semester freshman admitted into the College of Business (advising will occur during Freshman Orientation).
  • A transfer student admitted into the College of Business.
  • A returning student who has had a break in enrollment of two or more consecutive years.
  • A recently admitted change-of-major student into the College of Business (schedule an advising appointment by calling 502-852-7439).

Required Meetings with Your Coordinator

  • On academic warning or probation → We strongly encourage you to meet with your assigned coordinator, develop a success plan, and check in while we monitor your progress.
  • On academic suspension → You must meet with your coordinator before submitting a petition, develop a success plan, and complete at least one follow-up meeting after classes begin in the semester you return.
