The Exchange Dean's Message April 2026
April 7, 2026
Dean Amy Henley with Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear
This spring has been a powerful reminder of the momentum building across the College of Business—and the role we play in shaping the future of our region and beyond.
Over the past several weeks, I’ve had the opportunity to connect with leaders across industries, from CEOs and family business advisors to community partners and policymakers. Whether hosting conversations on leadership, engaging with Greater Louisville Inc. or joining an exclusive breakfast with Governor Andy Beshear, one theme continues to emerge: the demand for business talent that can think strategically, adapt quickly and lead with purpose.
That’s exactly what we’re building at UofL.
I’m especially excited about the continued growth of our academic portfolio, including the recent approval of our Global Supply Chain Management major. Programs like this reflect where the world is going—and ensure our students are ready to lead in it.
Just as important are the relationships that make this work possible. From advisory board meetings and alumni engagement to moments of gratitude—like my recent visit to thank the Anderson family for their generous gift to our accounting program—we are strengthening the connections that fuel opportunity for our students.
It’s been a busy and energizing few weeks, and the throughline is clear: when we connect, collaborate and lead together, we elevate what’s possible.
