Graduate Program Pathways
Now more than ever, having the business acumen to excel within your profession can transform your passion into a career. Students at Hanover College have a distinct advantage should they decide to take the fast track toward reaching their professional goals by applying for enrollment into a Master of Business Administration (MBA) or Master of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA) program. The University of Louisville College of Business will now provide expedited admission and priority merit scholarship review to Hanover students and alums applying to UofL’s MBA or MSBA programs who meet outlined partnership agreement criteria, waived application fees, and GMAT/GRE requirements.
The connection between UofL and Hanover is long-reaching. Interim Dean Dr. Jeff Guan notes, “Hanover and the University of Louisville College of Business already share a rich history. We’ve had the pleasure of providing business graduate education to several Hanover alumni, including professor and Executive Director of the Business Scholars Program, Dr. John Riddick, and Business Scholars Professor Quashawn Melton. This agreement paves a clearer path for the next generation of Panthers to continue building on their strong foundation while creating more opportunities for transformative learning experiences.”
Geared toward helping Hanover students reach their goals, both UofL College of Business graduate programs offer accelerated, one-year program options that create exceptional career advancement opportunities by combining our proven curriculum with optional paid internship opportunities. This format is ideal for recent graduates with limited or no professional experience and working professionals who want to earn their graduate degrees quickly. These individuals can complete their undergraduate and graduate business degrees in as little as five years. As with all graduate degree programs in the College of Business, Hanover students earning their MBA or MSBA at UofL will receive lifetime access to Ulmer Career Management Center services, including resume assistance and interview workshops. Additionally, those pursuing their MBA at UofL will have the opportunity to participate in the program’s international study trip, which provides graduate students insights into business management on a global scale.
“Our small and tightly knit MBA and MS in Business Analytics cohorts create the perfect environment for Hanover students. They are uniquely positioned to excel in the College of Business, and we’re thrilled to empower them on their professional journey[s],” shared Vernon Foster, Senior Executive Director of Graduate Programs.
Building on the success of educational collaboration, the Kentucky Wesleyan College Business Program and the University of Louisville College of Business have established a significant partnership to offer KWC graduates expedited admission to UofL’s Master of Science in Accounting and Analytics (MSAA Pathway Program). The admission elements acknowledge the quality of KWC’s graduates while reducing the cost and uncertainty associated with the application process and consist of waiving a standardized examination, waiving UofL’s application fee and strong scholarship consideration for students who meet specific criteria.
“This agreement recognizes the high quality of Kentucky Wesleyan’s business and accounting programs and the exceptional quality of our graduates,” said Dr. James Cousins, provost and vice president of academic affairs at KWC. “The University of Louisville’s Master of Accounting and Analytics complements our undergraduate programs nicely and can be an excellent option for students considering graduate school. Michael F. Wade, CPA, CGMA ’80, said, “I am excited about the new partnership. As a Kentucky Wesleyan alumnus and the current director of the School of Accountancy at UofL, I know this is a win-win for both schools.” “Graduates of the KWC Accounting Program have a long history of serving their communities successfully in various capacities,” said Raju Chenna, associate professor of accounting at KWC. “Through this partnership, the University of Louisville recognizes the quality of our program and our graduates. We are thrilled.”
