Meet MSBA Alumni, Claudia Lopez Rodriguez

Claudia Lopez Rodriguez holds a Master of Accountancy and a Master of Science in Business Analytics from the University of Louisville. Currently, Claudia works in data science for Norton Healthcare, a healthcare system that employs over 16,000 people in Louisville, Kentucky. Before working in healthcare, Claudia worked for Hilliard Lyon’s (now Baird) Investment Bank and Republic Bank’s Internal Audit department. The majority of her current work involves developing and deploying AI tools for inpatient and outpatient care, COVID-19 mitigation, and other measures. During her time as a student in the MSBA program, Claudia was introduced to Python, R, SQL, and SAS programming tools. These tools are now routinely used in developing her work, alongside her understanding and application of data science methods that are opaque and complex to most professionals.

The projects I’ve worked on have directly impacted patient experience and senior leadership perceptions about important measures’ performance.
