Dr. Manju Ahuja Named Frazier Family Professor of Computer Information Systems

The College of Business is pleased and proud to announce that Dr. Manju Ahuja has been appointed as the Frazier Family Professor of Computer Information Systems in the College of Business. Made possible by the generosity of Amelia Brown Frazier and her sons, Harry S. Frazier and Owsley Brown Frazier, the Frazier Family Chair supports the UofL faculty member who exemplifies excellence in the field of information systems and technology.

Dr. Ahuja joined the University of Louisville faculty in 2007 and held the appointment of University Scholar from 2012 to 2019. In that time, she has amassed a record of accomplishments, contributions, and impact to the field of information systems that is worthy of such a distinction.

Dr. Ahuja is an internationally renowned scholar, with expertise in technology-enabled collaborations, the impact of technology on work-life balance, and gender issues in IT careers. She has published more than 40 journal articles and chapters in prestigious outlets such as Management Information Systems Quarterly, Information Systems Research, Management Science, Journal of Management Information Systems, and Journal of the Association for Information Systems, to name only a few. Her research has been cited by publications such as the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Times of India, Computerworld, and Strategy+Business. She has presented her research at universities and conferences across the United States and around the globe.

Dr. Ahuja serves as Senior Editor at Information Systems Research and Journal of the Association for Information Systems. She previously served as Senior Editor at Management Information Systems Quarterly from 2014 to 2017. She was a principal investigator on three National Science Foundation grants totaling more than $1 million for her research on IT workforce issues. Currently, she is a member of the leadership team of the recently awarded $1 million National Science Foundation ADVANCE grant that will support the implementation of broad-based institutional initiatives to improve the advancement of women in STEM disciplines at the University of Louisville.
