
Sophonie Bazile

Before working for the Online Programs Office in the College of Business at UofL, Sophonie was a teaching assistant (TA) and PhD student in the Department of Geography at the University of Kentucky. She was a TA for courses ranging from the environment to health geographies to immigration. With a passion for diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging, Sophonie is involved in various organizations that further these goals at the university, including the College of Business Diversity & Inclusion Committee, the UofL Commission on the Status of Women, the UofL Black Faculty/Staff Association, and the UofL LGBTQ+ Faculty/Staff Association. Additionally, she enjoys working on editing projects in her spare time. She is a freelance copyeditor and edits undergraduate theses for seniors, dissertations for doctoral candidates, and even research briefs for university research centers.
