Congratulations to our 2014 Miss University of Louisville, Megan Devine, recent graduate of the Equine Business Program at the College of Business. The seventh annual Miss University of Louisville pageant was hosted by Beta Gamma Chapter.

Originally from Long Island, New York, Megan moved to Kentucky to follow her passion for horses. While at school, she was a member of the Shadow Host Program, Delta Zeta Sorority, President of the Riding & Racing Club and Captain of the University of Louisville Hunt Seat Team.

Megan also held an on campus job as a Cardinal Ambassador, giving tours and communicating with prospective students and their families. For her involvements, Megan was recognized as one of only four Outstanding Seniors in 2014, and graduated with honors for her academic achievements.

Megan currently works for US Chia, a local startup company created by four College of Business MBA students, as well as NBC Sports for the national coverage of horse racing, Sunday Night Football and rugby. In 2012, Megan was selected as one of the 16 national finalists for the United States Hunter Jumper Association Emerging Athlete Program, a talent scout program that hopes to discover the future Olympic riders for the U.S. Equestrian Team.

She hopes to continue to further her riding achievements to become a Grand Prix showjumper, and work towards becoming an on-air reporter for horse racing and other sports.

After her very first pageant, Megan is looking forward to serving as the 2014 Miss University of Louisville and supporting her platform for Equine Assisted Therapies: Horses Helping Humans. Look for Megan Devine as one of the contestants of the 2014 Miss Kentucky pageant in just a few short weeks!
