College of Business Freshman Admission Policy (Effective Summer 2014)
Freshmen students (first time applicants) are eligible for direct admission to the College of Business if the following criteria are met:
- An ACT composite score of at least 25 or an SAT 1 (CR=M) score of at least 1130; AND a high school GPA of 3.0; AND a Math sub score of at least: ACT 23 or SAT 1 540.
- An ACT composite score of at least 22 or SAT 1 (CR=M) of at least 1020; AND a high school GPA of 3.3; AND a Math sub score of at least ACT 23 or SAT 1540.
Freshmen who do not meet the above criteria, but who wish to pursue a business career should enroll as Pre-Business students in Arts and Sciences. Pre-Business students may transfer to the College of Business upon earning at least 30 credit hours with at least a 2.8 university GPA. Home-schooled students, students who have earned a GED and others with special circumstances should contact the Admissions Office.
External Transfer students who have earned 30 degree applicable hours with a 2.8 grade point will be admitted directly to the College of Business. Students who don’t meet these admission standards will be admitted to the College of Arts and Sciences as Pre-Business students and will be advised by A&S advisors. Apply for Transfer
