UofL service awards recognize faculty experience

Faculty recognized for years of service     When UofL celebrated the depth of experience and expertise available to students, the College of Business had nine faculty members included in the honors.
The 26th annual Faculty Service Awards reception and dinner were hosted by President James Ramsey, Provost Shirley Willihnganz and Board of Trustees Vice-Chair Sandy Metts.  On April 21 at the University Club, they recognized instructors with 25, 30, 35 and 40 years of service.

College of Business recipients at the quarter-century mark included School of Accountancy Professor Sid Baxendale and Instructor Mark Smith, and Dean Emeritus and European MBA Program Director Bob Taylor. Thirty-year honors were awarded to Management & Entrepreneurship Professor Art Adams, School of Accountancy professors Richard Coppage and Alan Levitan, Management & Entrepreneurship Department Chair and Professor Lyle Sussman and associate professors Bruce Kemelgore and Lou Raho.
Photo of Al Gustafson     Although not eligible for faculty service awards because he is an adjunct professor, the unofficial award for College of Business classroom longevity currently belongs to Al Gustafson, a COB alum and insurance industry professional who has taught insurance courses in the finance department for more than 50 years.
