The College of Business offers a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree with a major in finance. It also offers a minor in finance. The finance minor is chosen most frequently by students majoring in accounting, economics, management, marketing, computer and information systems, mathematics or actuarial science. The College of Business is accredited by AACSB- The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.

Required courses for finance majors include corporate finance, financial statement analysis, international finance, investments, economic analysis and forecasting, the first intermediate accounting course, and a finance capstone course.

Finance electives offered include banking and financial administration, risk and insurance, business valuation, security analysis and portfolio management, money management and personal finance, and capital budgeting. In place of an elective finance course finance majors may choose to complete a cooperative education course with an employer to build financial skills. Alternatively, students may take a coop or petition the department chair to substitute a course in economics, accounting, or mathematics that relate to finance and one's career objectives.
