Joint MBAs

Joint MBA/Master of Engineering (MEng)

The College of Business, in conjunction with the J. B. Speed School of  Engineering, offers a joint program whereby a student may work toward a Master of Business Administration degree upon completion of a Master of Engineering degree. This program provides a broad base of skills and knowledge in both complex and dynamic fields.  Students completing the program have a unique advantage in today’s competitive marketplace and a strong foundation for future success.

To be admitted into the joint program, the student is required to apply to and be accepted by both programs. The student is responsible for tuition requirements for Speed School and the College of Business. While enrolled in the College of Business, MBA/MEng students are subject to all academic policies and procedures applicable to graduate business students.

 

Joint MBA/Master of Arts in Humanities Concentration in Civic Leadership

The College of Business and the Division of Humanities of the College of Arts and Sciences are pleased to offer a Joint MBA and MA HCL degree. UofL recognizes the value of exploring the interrelationship between business and the humanities and applying the knowledge gained in a practical manner.

Curriculum

Completing this joint degree saves students time and money by waiving the elective courses needed for each program.  You can view the curriculum for the Professional MBA program and the Master of Arts in Humanities with full degree requirements.

To be admitted into the joint program, the student is required to apply to and be accepted by both programs. The student is responsible for tuition requirements for the College of Arts and Sciences and the College of Business. While enrolled in the College of Business, all students are subject to all academic policies and procedures applicable to graduate business students.

Joint MBA/Juris Doctor (JD)

Both law and business are complex and dynamic and there is significant interaction between the two. Students completing the program have a unique advantage in today’s competitive marketplace and a strong foundation for future success.  The MBA/JD program is offered jointly by the College of Business and the Brandeis School of Law. Upon successful completion of the programs, the student is awarded both the MBA and the JD degrees.

To be admitted into the joint program, the student is required to apply to and be accepted by both programs. The student is responsible for tuition requirements for the School of Law and the College of Business. While enrolled in the College of Business, MBA/JD students are subject to all academic policies and procedures applicable to graduate business students.

Joint MBA/Doctor of Medicine (MD)

Earn your MBA and MD degrees through the College of Business’ joint degree program. UofL Medical School students are eligible to participate upon completion of their second or third year of medical school or as a UofL Medical School Alum.  As a joint student, all business electives are waived in the MBA program although you have the option of enrolling while a student.
