Folks in Louisville interested in starting or growing a business can learn how to launch their product or business through an upcoming training program offered by the Forcht Center for Entrepreneurship. The program, called ULaunch, is an intensive 10-week entrepreneurship course that starts Aug. 23. as part of the larger LaunchIt initiative.
“We are pleased to be able to offer access to our LaunchIt training program, which gives start-up owners the tools to successfully launch their business while avoiding pitfalls. The program reduces risks in starting a business as participants validate that they have a product or service customers will buy before putting a lot of time and money into their venture. Thanks to the financial support of a donor, the program valued at $895 will be provided at no cost to an expanded group of entrepreneurs.” said Mary Tapolsky, Ph.D., Assistant Director, External Programs for the Forcht Center.
Applicants will be selected through a competitive process to attend the 10-week program and, if they successfully complete it, they will have access to up to $1K in reimbursement of eligible business expenses.
Experienced coaches provide guidance, and LaunchIt has graduated more than 440 entrepreneurs. Classes will meet from 6 to 9 p.m. on Thursdays, starting Aug. 23. The application deadline is Friday, August 3, and space is limited. For more information, contact Mary Tapolsky at 502-852-0197 or email@example.com.
