Founder and President, Center for Urban Renewal and Education (CURE)
USA Should Embrace, Not Over-Regulate, Entrepreneurs

Our country needs legislators and leaders who will stand up for free enterprise and small business, not create laws that discourage innovation and opportunity. Join us as Star Parker discusses how our country needs more entrepreneurs, not more bureaucrats. Prior to her involvement in public policy through CURE, Star Parker lived seven years in the grip of government dependency. Her experiences on welfare led her to play an active role in the passing of federal welfare reform in 1996.From welfare mother to businesswoman, national celebrity, and international author, Star Parker exemplifies hard work, aspiration, and individual responsibility. CURE serves to lead others to follow her example and bring new energy to policy discussions in Washington.
