What can I specialize in?
The College of Business at the University of Louisville offers only one PhD degree: in Entrepreneurship.
When does the program start?
Student cohorts begin their studies in August of even years. I.e., new cohorts of students will begin the program in August 2010 and August 2012.
How long does it take to complete the program?
It should normally take four full years to complete the program. Some students have needed a fifth year to complete their dissertations. Students take courses in their first two years in the program, and write their dissertations in years 3 and 4.
Do you have a part time program or a distance-learning program?
We offer only a full-time program that requires your residency on campus.
What courses do I take during the first two years of the program?
Please see the curriculum tab at our website, <FILL IN THE BLANK>
What do I have to do for my Graduate Assistantship?
Typically, our students serve as Research Assistants for 3 years. In their 3rd or 4th years, our students teach a total of four classes. Most of the time, the four classes are the same course/topic, so that you will have only one preparation.
Do you accept transfer credits from another PhD program?
No.
Is the program for me?
We seek students who are passionate about performing academic research in the field of entrepreneurship, and who plan on becoming academics engaged in teaching and scholarship.
