Prof. Bill Stout awarded CPA Society service honor Print

Photo of Bill Stout     School of Accountancy Director Bill Stout has been honored with the Outstanding Service Award by the Kentucky Society of CPAs.
Created in 2006, the award is not presented annually, but is reserved for demonstrations of exceptional leadership or dedication, according to Connie Nipp, the Society’s deputy executive director.

Associate Professor Stout was nominated by Vicki Blair, the Society’s manager of accounting careers and development.
In addition to chairmanship of the organization’s BASE Camp Task Force and his leadership and energy on other Society task forces and initiatives, Stout was praised for bringing CPAs into accountancy classrooms and Beta Alpha Psi programs.

Stout will be honored at the Society’s Spring Awards Banquet April 24 in Louisville.
Also a CPA, he joined the College of Business School of Accountancy faculty in 1996 and has been director of the AACSB-accredited program since 2005.
