Graduate Scholarships & Awards

     The College of Business distributes scholarships and awards on the basis of scholastic achievement, need, leadership, and other criteria. Scholarships are used for tuition reimbursement. Full tuition scholarships for the Masters of Accountancy program are equivalent to the in-state resident fee.
     Applications are accepted from mid-November through early January and only one application is needed to apply for all scholarships and awards (unless noted otherwise). The application is available on the College of Business homepage in mid-November and award letters are mailed by April 1.

 

50th Anniversary Alumni Scholarship

Award for a graduate or undergraduate based upon need and merit.

Bracker-Clouse Entrepreneurship MBA Alumni Scholarship

Award based on (1) Essay: detail a plan for educational needs; (2) One letter of recommendation from Entrepreneurship MBA faculty; and (3) GPA = 3.25 in first two semesters.

The Jane Offutt Burns Scholarship

For students accepted into the Master of Accountancy Program.

The John R. Craf Fellowship

Fellowship for first year MBA student with cumulative 3.0 GPA and not eligible for employer tuition-reimbursement - $1,000 award.

The Ernst and Young Accounting Scholarship

Award based on scholarship, leadership, citizenship, character, and extracurricular activities. The recipients should also exhibit interest in Public Accounting. Graduate scholarships of up to $5,000 are awarded to students admitted into the Master of Accountancy program, who are completing their undergraduate degree at UofL majoring in accountancy.

J. H. Hilliard Scholarship

Two $5,000 awards - one for the Entrepreneurship MBA and one for the Professional MBA.

The Robert L. Nardelli MBA Scholarship

Scholarship for graduate student working on MBA degree based on merit and need.

National Association of Women Business Owners

Award for Entrepreneurship MBA students based upon demonstrated entrepreneurial activity.

The Bill Stone Scholarship

Award for College of Business students from a Louisville high school with a 3.0 GPA or higher pursuing undergraduate or graduate degree in the College of Business.

The Vulcan Hart MBA Scholarship

Scholarship for MBA student and/or student with 3.0 GPA or higher who demonstrates scholarship and has a real need.

The Rotary Leadership Fellows

Each year, two MBA students are awarded $5,000 each to participate in a mentoring program with Rotary International members. The goal of the program is to involve young business people in Louisville's civic and community affairs early in their careers and to provide valuable networking within the Downtown Rotary Club of Louisville. LCA-Gilmer Scholarship

Two $1,000 scholarships offered annually by the Louisville Compensation ASSOCIATION to full-time college students who best meet the criteria for selection
