Joint MBA/MAC
The University of Louisville has developed a program specifically for those individuals who want to earn an MBA and a Master of Accountancy (MAC) degree at the same time. The MBA/MAC joint degree is a unique opportunity for students to develop the detailed technical knowledge they need to perform well on the CPA exam as well as the broad business perspective increasingly required by today's businesses.
Curriculum
The joint MBA/MAC degree enables students to take only six Master of Accountancy courses beyond the MBA core curriculum to earn two masters degrees. The Master of Accountancy program can be combined with either the 2-year Professional MBA or the 13-month Full-Time MBA. See the Professional MBA, Full-Time MBA and Master of Accountancy pages for a sample curriculum of each program. All electives for each program are waived, saving students time and money to earn the joint degree.
Admission
To be admitted into the program, students are required to apply to, and be accepted by, both programs and meet the admission requirements of both schools, as well as the tuition requirements for both.
While enrolled in the College of Business, MBA/MAC students are subject to all academic policies and procedures applicable to graduate business students.
