AWARDS
The College of Business designates special awards each year to outstanding students. Students do not apply for awards. All recipients are nominated by faculty or the College of Business student council.
College of Business Alumni Award for Outstanding Senior
Faculty will select one outstanding College of Business senior to receive a certificate
Becker Professional CPA Review Course Award
Faculty will select one senior Accounting Club or Beta Alpha Psi member to receive free tuition to the Becker Professional CPA Review Course
Financial Executives Institute Award
Faculty will select one senior Accounting or Finance major to receive $500
Ollie Green, Jr. Undergraduate Tax Student Award
Faculty will select one senior Accounting major as best “tax” student to receive $1000
Institute of Management Accountants Award
Faculty will select one undergraduate Accounting student to receive a one year membership to the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA)
John Mead Prize in Economics
Faculty will select senior Economics majors for best papers in fall and spring and will award each $250
National Business Education Association Award of Merit
Faculty will select one College of Business major for outstanding achievement in business education to receive $300
Omicron Delta Kappa Outstanding Graduating Senior Award
Faculty will select one senior College of Business major who demonstrates prominent leadership and service to the university to receive a certificate
Woodrow M. Strickler Leadership Award
Faculty will select one senior College of Business major who demonstrates exceptional leadership in the classroom and/or student organizations to receive $1500
Wall Street Journal Award
Faculty will select one College of Business major who demonstrates prominent leadership and service to the university to receive a one year subscription to the Wall Street Journal
Louis A. Grief Outstanding Senior in Accountancy
Faculty will select one senior Accounting major to receive a certificate
Outstanding Senior in Computer Information Systems
Faculty will select one senior CIS major to receive a certificate
Carl E. Abner Outstanding Senior in Economics
Faculty will select one senior Economics major to receive a certificate
Robert G. Lawrence Outstanding Senior in Equine Business
Faculty will select one senior Equine major to receive a certificate
Outstanding Senior in Finance
Faculty will select one senior Finance major to receive a certificate
Outstanding Senior in Management & Entrepreneurship
Faculty will select one senior Management & Entrepreneurship major to receive a certificate
Outstanding Senior in Marketing
Faculty will select one senior Marketing major to receive a certificate
Student Council Award
The College of Business student council will select one senior College of Business major who makes the greatest contribution to the college to receive a certificate
