The College of Business has joined top research institutions from around the globe displaying their research papers on the Social Science Research Network (SSRN).
SSRN.com, the leading early distributor of research papers, now includes submissions by the college’s finest faculty scholars.
“This is a great opportunity for alumni and other supporters to become better acquainted with our research,” said David Dubofsky, finance professor and associate dean for research and faculty development. “We’ve done some exceptional work and this is impressive visibility for us.”
Publication of research in elite and high-quality journals is a primary mission for UofL and the college, especially papers that address the needs of the metropolitan community.
Dubofsky will edit the college’s pages on the site, selecting from available work in progress. The college’s site currently includes 48 working and completed papers posted prior to their submission or acceptance by journals. Due to space limitations, only 50 papers may be included at any time.
Visitors to the SSRN site can read summaries of research papers or print out completed documents. They may also subscribe to the series and receive email updates as new papers are added. To view the pages, visit www.ssrn.com and click on the Research Paper Series menu item, then scroll down the list to “University of Louisville College of Business Research Paper Series.” To go directly to the site, you also may cut and paste the following URL into your browser: http://papers.ssrn.com/sol3/JELJOUR_Results.cfm?form_name=journalbrowse&journal_id=1099034
The SSRN library includes an abstract database with more than 185,000 papers and an electronic paper collection containing more than 149,000 full-text documents downloadable in PDF format. The network is devoted to the rapid, worldwide dissemination of social science research.
