Interest in the college’s new Professional MBA and entrepreneurship MBA (IMBA) programs continues to grow, with qualified candidates inquiring in greater numbers and earlier than in previous years.
With classes starting in mid-May, the IMBA program has more than 40 prospective students already in the system, and their credentials suggest they will be the most qualified group of students ever in the program.
“They average 33 years old with nine years of working experience and undergrad GPAs of 3.4,” said Kevin Kane, MBA programs administrative director. “Their GMAT scores are terrific--an average of 600.”
The fall 2008 Professional MBA, which doesn’t start classes until late August, already has more than 20 highly qualified students in the enrollment process, with several months of recruiting yet to come.
“It’s the most expensive MBA in town, yet in terms of what you get it’s an incredible value,” said Dean Charlie Moyer. “Our students consistently tell me they love the program.”
Kane believes in addition to the high-quality faculty and intensive two-year timetable, the program has extras that add to its appeal.
“The two-day orientation is a great experience, and we have a celebration event halfway through the program, a graduation dinner and of course the Graduate Lounge that has been so popular,” he said. “The international travel being included is another draw.”
Information sessions about the programs are scheduled monthly. The next two events are April 3 at the University Club and May 8 at the Brown Hotel. Both are from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., and reservations are requested but not required. For more information, call 502.852.2169
