The Partum Group leads IMBA teams in New Venture Competition Print

alerisnewventure.jpg The Partum Group grabbed two of three possible awards in the 11th annual Aleris New Venture Competition, but all three teams of IMBA students received high marks from the judges.
"All three of these teams are worthy of moving into regional and national competition," said judge Martin McClelland in his summary comments. "Unlike some previous competitions, this year we have some very tough decisions to make."

The business plan competition judges, McClelland, Ed Nasief and Wright Steenrod, awarded The Partum Group first place for its presentation of a new device designed to improve pre-labor hospital care for expectant mothers. The team also took first place in the Trade Show competition, as judged by Paul van der Pol and Susan Weiss.
"The judges provided us some solid insight into what each team can do to improve before moving ahead," said IMBA Director Van Clouse. "The students' hard work really showed, and we're excited about our chances in future competition."
