Centers

What makes a Center a “Center?”

At the University of Louisville, the designation of “Center” is a distinguished title awarded only by a vote of the university’s Board of Trustees to programs that meet specific criteria for need, vision, and performance.

In each case, the named Center represents an exceptional assembly of university-based expertise, service and resources available to a targeted industry, community challenge or emerging opportunity.

Often, Centers includes partnerships with civic and corporate interests that bring additional resources and effectiveness to their programs.

The goals of Centers at the College of Business are as sweeping as tracking trends in human capital and other economic indicators across the entire region and as focused as serving the unique needs of family-run businesses.
