MINOR IN ENTREPRENEURSHIP
What's New & Different About the Entrepreneurship Minor?
- It's designed with a modular format.
Instead of a traditional semester-long course focusing on one content  area (e.g., auditing, leadership, internet marketing, etc.), faculty have determined the minimum amount of time needed to ensure students understand and can apply essential concepts in each area.
- The minor attracts the most highly talented and motivated students in the COB.
The entrepreneurship minor is not open to everyone. Not everyone wants to be an entrepreneur or an intrapreneur (an entrepreneur in a corporate setting). Students must apply for admission to the program and demonstrate they have the necessary career goals, motivation and interest.
- Students progress through all the modules as a cohort.
Students admitted to the entrepreneurship program will begin at the same time and progress through the same series of modules over a one-year period. This cohort design will encourage collaborative learning, teamwork and development of networks that students can use throughout their careers.

 Our Entrepreneurship Minor students took FIRST place in both the Concept plan and the formal Business plan competition in the State of Kentucky's 1st ever business plan competition April, 2008. Read full story with photos.
Why consider the entrepreneurship minor? What benefits does a student receive?
- Differentiation – The entrepreneurship minor provides value-added skills that set you apart from & make you more valuable to employers than other COB graduates.
- Durable Skill Set – The minor develops your ability to search for, discover and exploit marketable ideas in a corporate environment or an independent new venture.
- Real World Experience – Each student engages in a major field experience, choosing among working as an intrapreneur in a local corporation, participating in a startup of a new venture, starting a new company or consulting with an entrepreneurial firm. Students with tangible skills and experience can more easily find desirable full-time employment.
- Minimum Time for Maximum Value – The minor in entrepreneurship may be completed in 3 semesters.
