Students posted high marks for the Spring 2006 semester as a total of
585 undergraduates achieved Dean's Scholar or Dean's List status.
Fifty-nine students earned Dean's Scholar honors with perfect 4.0
GPAs, and 526 students were named to the Dean's List with grade point
averages of 3.25 or higher.
Students on both lists are recognized in a posting in the display
case in the COB atrium, but complete lists are also available here ( Dean's Scholars ) ( Dean's List ).
(Grade Point Averages are computed by dividing the number of grade
points earned by the number of course hours attempted. For a three-hour
course, an “A” earns 12 points; a “B” is worth 9 points; a “C” earns 6,
and a “D” earns 3 points. A student taking four, three-hour courses and
receiving an A, two Bs and a C would have a GPA of 3.0.)
