College of Business BS/MBA Accelerated Program

     The College of Business offers an Accelerated Program for both business and non-business majors to earn both a baccalaureate degree and an MBA degree in about 5 1/2 years. The Accelerated Program offers an opportunity for students to complete the undergraduate business or economics degree in the College of Business along with the Master of Business Administration or Master of Accountancy degree and the same opportunity exists for undergraduate students earning a BA or BS degree in another school of study.

BUSINESS STUDENTS:

Bachelor of Science in Business Administration OR Bachelor of Science in Business Economics
AND
Master in Business Administration (MBA) OR Master of Accountancy (MAC)

Freshman Admission:

  • Freshmen admitted to the College of Business must be considered eligible for the University Honors Program upon admission, and maintain eligibility throughout their undergraduate career
  • After completing 60 credit hours, students must fill out an application for this program
  • Candidates must attend at least one College of Business Roundtable, sponsored by the Ulmer Career Management Center
  • Candidates must fulfill at least one three-hour Co-op
  • At least two semesters before graduation, candidates must schedule an appointment with the Graduate MBA Counselor by calling 852-7297
  • The GMAT is not required
  • Applicants must turn in an application for admission along with 2 letters of recommendation, resume, and personal statement (see the MBA website for forms) 

Transfer Admission: 
     Transfer students must be considered eligible for the University Honors Program upon admission, and maintain eligibility throughout their undergraduate career

  • After completing 60 credit hours, students must fill out an application for this program

  • Candidates must attend at least one College of Business Roundtable, sponsored by the Ulmer Career Management Center

  • Candidates must fulfill at least one three-hour Co-op

  • The GMAT is required, and must be taken no later than the student's first semester of the senior year. A score of at least 550 must be earned.

      Admission to the MBA program remains competitive. Adherence to the above requirements qualifies students for consideration, but does not guarantee admission.

FOR NON-BUSINESS STUDENTS:

Bachelor of Science and Master in Business Administration (MBA)
OR
Bachelor of Arts and Master in Business Administration (MBA)

     Undergraduate students at the University of Louisville may obtain both a baccalaureate degree and an MBA degree in about 5 1/2 calendar years by following the BS/MBA or BA/MBA track. The purpose of this track is to allow students to obtain a broad-based education in the liberal arts as an undergraduate, and then to specialize in business administration as a graduate student.

For admission consideration, students must:

  • Be considered eligible for the University Honors Program upon admission, and maintain eligibility throughout their undergraduate career

  • Earn a GMAT score of at least 550

Those interested in pursuing this track should: 
     Complete and bring the Application to the Graduate Advising Office after completing 60 credit hours at least two semesters before graduation, schedule an advising appointment with the Graduate MBA Counselor by calling 852-7297 and take the GMAT no later than two semesters before graduation. A score of at least 550 must be earned.
