Our Teachers/Scholars

      The University of Louisville, has a dedicated team of professors who bring to class a wealth of real world business experience combined with the latest academic theories. Additionally, 100 percent of our professors have advanced degrees and 95 percent have doctorates. 

     Our professors come from the forefront of industry, including former CEO's, presidents, executive directors, and founders. Our professors include the former CEO's of Sunbeam and Pizza Hut, a former corporate officer of General Electric, a founder of Tumbleweed, former consultants for Coopers & Lybrand and Deloitte & Touche, and numerous entrepreneurs who have started their own businesses.

     Keeping in touch with the issues facing businesses today is critical for a high quality faculty. Several of our faculty serve on Boards of Directors for large public firms. In addition, many of our faculty members regularly conduct external consulting projects with key businesses. Here are just some of the companies that have benefited from the consulting efforts of our faculty: Pepsi, 3M, Blockbuster, UPS, General Electric, World Bank, ATT, Upjohn Pharmaceuticals, General Mills, Motorola, AAA, and Bell Labs.

     Great professors also publish their research. Our faculty includes an author of numerous best-selling business books. Additionally, our professors have published thousands of articles and over 100 mass market books and textbooks.

     Our professors create an interactive learning experience in our state of the art classrooms while placing particular emphasis on building personal relationships with students.
