ACADEMIC Areas
The College of Business offers many traditional academic areas such as Accounting, Management, Economics and Finance as well as programs in Equine Business and Computer Information Systems.
The College of Business offers a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree with a major through the School of Accountancy. The Accountancy program is accredited by the AACSB, The International Association for Management Education. Only 13 percent of all accounting programs are AACSB accredited.
Our Computer Information Systems program at the University of Louisville offers a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (B.S.B.A.) degree with a major in CIS through the College of Business.
The University of Louisville offers both the Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science in Economics through the College of Business. Students may also minor in Economics. All economics faculty are housed in, and all economics courses are offered by the College of Business.
Our unique suite of nationally ranked graduate and undergraduate programs designed for working professionals. Entrepreneurship Louisville includes: Entrepreneurship Minor, IMBA—The MBA for Entrepreneurial Thinking, PhD in Entrepreneurship and various other pathways for entrepreneurs and entrepreneurship students to explore.
The University of Louisville’s Equine Industry Program offers the only AACSB-accredited business degree in the world with an equine major. UofL has the only four-year equine-oriented degree program that focuses exclusively on the ‘business of horses,’ including business management of such enterprises as associations, broadcasting media, disciplines, events, facilities, farms, practices, publications, racetracks, and stables. When it comes to horses, UofL means business.
The College of Business offers a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree with a major in finance. The College of Business is accredited by the AACSB, The International Association for Management Education.
Our Management and Entrepreneurship Department at the University of Louisville offers a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree with a major in Management and a PhD in Entrepreneurship through the College of Business. This program provides you with general training in management along with the opportunity to take specialized elective courses. Internships and cooperative work/study programs are also available, enabling students to gain valuable work experience while earning credit toward their degrees.
The University of Louisville offers a Bachelor's of Science in Business Administration with a major in marketing through the College of Business. The Marketing discipline offers required and elective courses to provide the basis for a variety of marketing careers.
