Equine Industry Program Careers

     Careers in Equine Business can be exciting, challenging and rewarding. As the effects of competition, market saturation, and declines in foal production impact equine enterprises, the need for business-trained professionals with expertise in the equine industry to operate these companies is increased.

     The opportunities for employment are as varied as the students pursuing the major and encompass numerous occupations. Graduates of the program are working as equine insurance adjusters, bloodstock agents, race track administrators, farm managers, equine product salespersons, and administrators for breed and racing organizations. Companies which have hired EIP graduates include Churchill Downs, The Jockey Club, The Ontario Jockey Club, International Racehorse Transport, Equisourse, Thoroughbred Breeders Association, Thoroughbred Owners of California, Lane's End, and the Kentucky Horse Park.
