UofL College of Business breaks into Business Week rankings of top U.S. business programs Print

The University of Louisville College of Business has been recognized among the nation’s finest colleges with a new listing in Business Week magazine’s top undergraduate business programs.
In the magazine’s 2008 survey, the College of Business ranked #11 among public universities in the south, #16 among all universities in the south, and #49 among all public universities in the U.S.

Out of 1200 undergraduate programs nationally, the college ranked in the top 7 percent.

The rankings are based on research from data supplied by the school and surveys completed by students and corporate recruiters.  The results appeared in the March 10 issue of the magazine and on the magazine’s website in a feature entitled “The Best Undergrad B-Schools.”  (The magazine also highlighted the college’s unique Equine Industry Program as part of its coverage.)

In the survey, the college ranked highest of any Kentucky college in the areas of teaching quality, facilities and service, and job placement.

“We’re very pleased to be included in the prestigious company of the finest business programs in the country,” said College of Business Dean Charlie Moyer.  “And it’s especially gratifying that our high marks reflect the responses from some of our toughest critics—our students.”
