The co-op/internship program is a great opportunity for students to gain employment experience in a chosen field, discover new areas of interest, build a solid resume and earn academic credits as they prepare for career decisions.
Our co-op and internship coordination provides students with powerful learning experiences that can jumpstart their career search. We work closely with local employers to identify the on-the-job situations that enhance classroom learning with real-world experience. Regardless of whether it’s paid or unpaid, an internship exposes you to career opportunities, gives you an edge over students without work experience, and creates valuable professional contacts. Some co-ops and internships result in job offers.
Local, regional and national employers offer 150 to 1000 hours of work per co-op/internship for the College of Business upper division students who have met the pre-requisites. Opportunities are available in Accountancy, Computer Information Systems, Economics, Equine, Finance, Management and Marketing.
The cost for the student to co-op is the same as normal tuition – it costs per credit hour the student receives.
